Just a thought. With all the problems with overheating in Bongos, could a radiator with a larger bore core be an answer?
Triumph Stags are notorious overeaters but there is a company that recores the radiators and now the original (and magnificent) V8 keeps up with modern traffic conditions.
Would the rad solve the problem on it's own? Or is it a combination of problems?

I think you will find that the main problem is not cooling in the radiator but air locks in the engine, because the pipework descends lower than the engine in many locations. That's not to say that a clogged radiator won't cause problems, it will but its not probably the most common cause of overheating.

A new radiator (of any type) won't solve an overheating problem on its own, if there are other things wrong with the cooling system. A few causes of the overheating problems have been blocked radiators, coolant leaks, air in the system and worn components not working properly.
