Had a problem with my switch. The switch for driver side window had snapped on the little plastic lug.The whole swich was fine apart from that side not operating. So as a temp measure i coupled the wires from the drivers side on the switch to the passenger side of the swich. They work fine.Only draw back is when you operate the switch both windows come down and up.THe passenger side can still be operated independently.Works for me.As anybody knows these little swiches are very expensive.Just a thought for anyone in the same boat. =D>

I need to try this to prove my problem is the switch before i spend a fortune on a replacement. Can you be more specific i.e. which wires you moved to connect the switch to passenger side. Thanks

The 'switch' which you handle is not the real switch at all.

It is just the lever for a slide switch below.

Therefore, if you want to test the switch, separate the rocker from the slider and just move the slide switch back and forth to see if the window goes up and down.

It is important to leave the passenger window switch on the drivers door panel in the neutral (centre) position in order to allow the switch in the passenger door to operate, assuming that the override lock is also off.
