Bongo Fury

Ok thicko question is there a water temp sensor position on the engine ?
The reason is im thinking of fitting one of these gauges and wondered if it will work on the bongo.
It sates on the description......
Note these are the latest technology all electronic gauges -so there is not a need for a capilliary tube connection here - the sensor simply screws into the water temp sensor position on the engine...

Without seeing the "paperwork" I can only assume (rightly or wrongly) that the unit comes with the relevant adapters to suit the majority of engines and it will also utilise the current Temperature gauge sensor location....

I guess and again without the "paperwork" that the unit will use the same head port for the sensor and as for the Bongo gauge it probably will render the Bongo gauge inoperable unless a connection/termination is made to the new gauge connection (if that makes sense)

Bongo is much the same as Modern motors where it employs a sender/sensor for the Temperature gauge and another sender/sensor for the ECU/Engine Fans....

Thanks for the reply and Ive had a couple of replies via pm , you all say virtually the same thing.
Basically it wont work the way i want it to.

Dave' I think Doone & Bulgarian Hellen& has fitted a water temp sensor...? I believe its a case of fitting the supplied sensor with the gauge into the cooling system?? (If they haven't pm'd you already with info?)

Just to add. for a touch of class.. Its possible to take the backlight feed from the output on the plasma dial rheostat, & dim these dials in unison with the performance speedos..

Dave, I think they still use a bulb sensor. The easiest way to find out is to ring them, they are very helpful.

Hello Dave. Allan has a similar temperature gauge on his. He mentions ON THIS LINK that he fitted the sensor into the top hose.

...You fit the sensor where you want it. I have it in the top hose. Cut the top hose, fit the adaptor with hose clips each end of the adaptor. Screw the sensor in to the adaptor. Temps read 80 around town and uphill, 70 on a run.
