Flashi Glow plug Light

I have a 99V 2wd 2.5 Diesel with 59k on the clock. My glow plug light has started to flash after about 30mins of driving, it then goes into limp mode (no turbo) with a loss of power. Once vehicle is switched off and left to cool down the light seems to reset however after about 30mins same symptoms. Any ideas? Its driving me nuts.

I'd suspect the vacum valve under the drivers seat, its usually that coupled with the internal wastegate gasket.

How can I confirm what you say, and is it easily rectified? Could I do the job myself?
Thanks

no real way to confirm it, you casn test the vacuum valve by trying to power it up from a 12v source and listen for a click, should be a clear click if its either not there or a 'muffled click the valve is faulty or beginning to fail.
The valve your interested in is located under the drivers seat on the chasis rail and is the rear most valve, its vertical whereas the others are horizontal. As for the gasket job, its not the nicest job to do and takes a skill with the spanners.
