Hi guys
I just got my front and rear break pads replaced and I sourced the break pads from japauto spares.
The cost was £64 and they said there was a lot of rust/gunge to clean.

Is this a reasonable price for labour at my local garage? The hours of labour are not on the invoice.
thanks in advance

The Bongo brakes are pretty straightforward to swap the pads on. Any decent garage should be able to swap them all in an hour. At £40 per hour, add in a bit for consumables (brake cleaner, copper grease, etc), let's say £5. That's £52.87 inc VAT. I'd say it's in the right ballpark. Of course, £40 per hour is pretty low-end for a garage these days. £60 isn't unusual, so you might even have a bargain.

Of course, for £64 you could buy a trolley jack, axle stands and a socket set and do them yourself....
