HI, just wondering if it would be safe and legal to run the 4 corners all with a load rating of 95?? I have a tintop V6 unconverted.

Thanks

Ask your insurance company - they will be the ones who decide whether to pay out or not, should the worst happen. Anything anyone on here says is pure conjecture.

You are required by law to inform your insurance company of any "relevant facts" relating to your insurance cover - the load index of your tyres could be said to be a "relevant fact" in the event of an accident.

=D> =D> Word of warning those who decided to risk it...... Mum in law was shunted in the side passenger door, from a motorist coming out of a side road, Mum in law was queued in traffic waiting for the lights to change and was stationary....so not her fault........when the assessor came out....he checked the load ratings on her tyres as well as the ubiquitous tread depth and condition..... She drives a Wagon R.... So insurance companies are looking at any way to cop out of paying up.. cover all the angles...

As Bongo says 96 on the rear.....on the label inside the door jam..... has to give you a clue...

You've now found the problem with 18" wheels #-o - those tyres are hard to get with a high enough load rating. People have found them so, hopefully, they'll be along shortly.
If you have a 4WD, make sure that the existing tyres aren't too worn - mixing them with new tyres could affect your viscous coupling.

you can get 98's in 235/45/18 ..... I chose 17's to be sure of tyres.... I am sure some of the 18" bongliers will be along to give you advice

I'm surprised YBBs not picked up on this thread.

Some time back he had a contact who could source 100s for around seventy quid IIRC.

Worth a PM perhaps.
