Hi just collected my 96 freetop 2.5d auto.Bought as a project so a few faults to fix, so here is the first one. All the lights are out on the heater controls and switches. The dashboard is still lit as are the interior lamps i am thinking a fuse rather than the bulbs, which fuse would it be and are they numbered as i havn't even looked yet.And daft question but where is the fusebox cos i aint got a handbook(are they available?).

Fuse box under bonnet, fuse 8, 3rd 15amp mini blade fuse on the left, count back from the front, (6 in a line.) it does the dash & the rear lights...
Another fuse box panel by drivers right knee!

& just thinking about this.....

There are earth points under the dash (drivers side?), some connected to the metal dash frame... Have a look there & see if any haven't become disconnected..?

The Wiring Diagrams are all on-line and include photo's of all fuses etc.if your making this vehicle a project it might be worth getting to know them well

See here for more details (access is free)

I had to change the bulbs in mine - I think there is a fact sheet by Missfixit.

It's often the case.....bulbs blow and don't get replaced....the manual units need radio removal keys...and don't forget to unhook the 3 heater cables from the flaps they connect too

I have just spent a week with my heater controls out & come up with this....
But that's another story...!
Three T5 cap-less bulbs.. But, don't replace with led's it concentrates the light unevenly... If its a manual heater control??
You remove it like a radio... & can be pulled forward easier if you uncouple the bicycle brake arrangement from the clip & nipple attachment on the white flap controller in the drivers & passenger foot well.... (Under the hole in the centre console.)
This may help too...

Personally, i think it's too much of a coincidence that all the dash bulbs have blown....
