This may be a silly question but is there any such thing like a portable storage heater. charge up either as you drive or from the mains b4 hand. Just to give you enough output to keep the bitter chill off for the majority of the night?
Thanks Twidds

would be great wouldn't it

but weight might be a problem - house storage heaters weigh an absolute ton

Yes, thinking like a mini mini one. You would think some one would have made one.
My garage has no electrickery either so I would put one under me bike too.....if they existed!!

I don't think a mini mini one would hold the heat for very long.

For heating the garage, two house bricks in the oven then moved to the garage!

Now that's not a bad idea for the bike. House bricks left overnight on top of my storage heaters, I could have a rotation system too. 2 on 2 off each night. Now are house bricks the most efficient?
Now how about these bricks left, whilst driving, somewhere on the engine. Make use of all that wasted heat from the engine.

Find an old storage heater and take the bricks out there the best type!

Yes, there is and very cheap. A hot water bottle.
Can be recharged during the night if you have a kettle, or even from a thermos flask.

Well yes.
I do feel i am making headway in this dilemma. For myself a wetsuit would also do the job.
But its the slow release of heat i am after. Maybe fill the hot water bottle with Hot oil! Nah!

Fill it with hot bricks - you may need to crush them first

Here a great slow release heater:
If you take small enough sips, it'll keep you warm all night long!

What about a leisure battery, a large invertor and a fan heater plugged into it on a time switch?
Charges while you are driving or from the mains through the hook-up when parked then switches on to warm the Bongo at 8:00 am.

Doubt if the Bongo would heat up before the battery went flat
