Shami kebabs – we thought of this and did a cheeky preliminary version by going to a local purveyor of kebabs and other Asian fare....

....at 4am one summer morning

Sauces are deployed in plastic bags....

....which require emptying with the application of a sharp knife....

....leaving you with a bowl of yoghurt, chilli sauce and mango chutney....

....to go with a few pre-assembled shamis....

....which can easily be livened up in a frying pan in the Bongo....

....to make a shami butty – except that isn’t allowed in this section....

....so shamis delicately garnished on a plate will suffice

That's the bonus of being out & about from about 4am, with kebab shops that don't close until 6am

Do they have all-night kebab shops in Wales?
Prior to this Bored with Butties malarkey, Friday used to be kebab day at work, I'd get the kebabs in on the way to work (or on a Thursday night and leave them festering in the boot of the car overnight) and then liven them up in the microwave. There were a few who added to the order. We used to get all the salad & sauce separate, the salad can then easily be thrown straight in the bin with minimal effort and the sauces included one famously known as the Des O'Connor sauce.
Because it isn't funny

probably don't have all night kebab shops near where we'll be.. but since you like being awake early, we could always send you out to the local cafe down the road that's meant to be quite good.... put in our orders the night before... lol.
Ewwww... festering in the boot....

When you look at the huge lump of donner meat in the shop, I suppose it's arguably more hygienic wrapped up festering in my boot than festering uncovered in their shop overnight with flies sticking their proboscises into it
All adds to the flavour, though. Apparently
