Is it quick and easy to remove and re-fit a rear bench seat? Is it a 2 person job?

Eyup Simon dead easy mate 4 bolts & slide it out~on the right hand side there should be a stop so take that out also.
As for weight me & the missus did ours & were old

if you are feeling strong then u can do it on your own BUT it is quite heavy

to remove the seat if you look at the front and read under the seat there are plastic clip on covers , pull them off and you will have 2 bolts on each side 17mm undo and take out

simple as that

Sounds straightforward and easy enough if you're taking the seat out and leaving it out, but I think it could be a pain if you had to do it frequently. Especially as the only place I have to store it is my shed, which is round the back of the house.

Correct - it is not a 5 minute job.

2 minute job if you leave the covers off and only do the bolts up finger tight and keep them greased. They are man enough to hold the seat on firmly without torque wrenching them. There is probably far more play in the runners themselves.

My back seat lives indoors (doubling as an extra settee) waiting for the rare occasions when I need to carry extra passengers.

Meanwhile the far more useful (with the larger section in table mode) 2/3 split middle seat lives nearer the back and only slides forward if I want to talk to rear passengers. Otherwise they can just talk to each other!

I leave the original back runners as far back as they can go, with the removable stop taken out. This gives enough room to fold the seat backs down flat over three storage boxes which can be accessed by lifting the appropriate side of the seat back. Much more convenient than having to raise the entire width of the conventional back seat.

In fact, I would happily swap my one piece seat for another 2/3 split version.

A facing pair of seats and tables could be quite novel. Room for two surveillance operatives and all their equipment. The film 'The Conversation' inspired me to own a nice van with silvered windows!

The actual bolting in and out may be 2 mins, but the rest of the job isn't, if you have to carry the thing all around the house to and from a shed.

I'm not sure they were actually a selectable option, just that some years/models of Bongos had them and some didn't.

Not after @97 I think.

This could be an option for us,we find space to small and been thinking of selling!

we were thinking of not camping this year in it,and going in a caravan(static).

Then when body kit falls off spray bottom half and fit tow bar /trailer..
