Bongo Fury

I have the Auto Air Con controls on a 99 Bongo.

Today the A/C button seems to have stopped working and the AC will not switch on, Auto mode or not.

Heater is still working fine, as are temp controls, and fan control and mode controls and Auto button. So just the A/C that has stopped working.

It was working yersterday, could switch between A/C , A/C Econ and just heater. But not now.

Anyone got any suggestions, is it just a fuse, and if so any idea which one as I cannot find it a blown one, or is it something more sreious ?

Its been suggested that the Air Con. itself won't switch in if the temperature is below Zero.

Hi g8dhe, had wondered if was something like that was really cold today, but has worked sub zero before this year, , so here and only drove it a 7am this morning and 9pm tonight when it was below -6 both times. So can test this theory when it warms up, hope you are right:-)

If anyone else has an idea feel free to comment.

I had the same problem a week ago the ac would not turn on but soon as the temp rose a bit it came back to life.

we have been having the same problem with ours being a bit tempramental, working one time then not the next. I just put it down to the weather, glad you guys have put my mind at ease!

Yep working again fro mthis afternoon when temp gor back up towards zero, for what its worth my gut felling is it seems to work down to around -4 or -5 then switches itself off.

Mine did the same tonight. A/c usually is the 1st option on activation, then econ. Tonight it went straight to no a/c mode. It is minus 12 though at the moment. 1st time I have ever noticed that happen.
