Just replaced both o-rings on the fuel pump after developing a fuel leak from the pump brrrrrrrrrrrr boy was it cold out there

Managed to do the inside ring which was very fiddlely but thanks to the posters on here plus dandys pics all done in about and hour =D>

I would Just like to add to the previous tips,

I unbolted the vac pipes and the injector pipes off the back of the pump to gain access to the block/engine side with my left hand which does help(too cold to take pics sorry) and use a piece of signs wire with a sharpened end formed to make a kind of hook to remove the o-ring...

Thanks Guys and Merry Christmas =D> =D> =D> =D> =D> =D> =D>

P.s my other half's pruning mirror was very useful..

Well done. Not a job for the faint hearted. This job defeated me completely and I did my back in in the attempt. Old age, poor eyesight, and chubby hands. A bad combination :(

The way to go Nevets, did mine the same way as I couldn't get my hand up its backside like Dandy could......
Removing the injector pipes and going at it horizontally from the rear allows access for bigger hands. =D> =D> =D>

Good job nevets............... :D

I'm not partial to the backside method 8) - but you can get to it from the top if you're wrist is thin enough, gynaecological skills are helpful 8)

The sticker on the inlet manifold translates:

Limp wristed mechanics enter from here.
