Hi
Dave
The thing that looks like a lollipop covered in verdigris is, in fact a small aftermarket stick grenade that is installed by some service companies , and it goes off with a small "Bang....wheeeee...ploop " 10 seconds before your next service interval is due, so that you immediately dash round to the service company and spend your hard-earned Yen. The springy device is a "Zebidee Sensor" which determines whether there are any unwanted springy devices having been planted in the car whilst you had it parked....if you turn on the ignition, and hold a piece of card near the pin, it will tap out a series of Japanese characters on the card for you to read!
Hopefully, someone will be along with another answer....the springy thing looks like something has been removed from it....as for the other device?????
Cheers
Helen
In the beginning there was nothing , then God said "Let there be Light".....There was still nothing , but ,by crikey, you could see it better.
