right i think im getting there and understanding this problem, RIGHT i can get this problem sorted under warrenty but they need to know excatly what the problem is as local garages aint sure and have ask me to ask the experts on here???, i have a hold light flashing it clears when i turn bongo off but comes on again, ive done diognoses and it flashes slowly 7 times (code 7 speed sensor) the speedo is now not working propley, it was working then it wasnt then it was and now its not again, And it doesnt even clock up miles when this happens! its got 64000 miles on the clock and im %100 sure it reads in MPH and not KMH (does this mean it has a speed converter chip fitted) IF SO IS THIS THE PROBLEM DO I NEED TO GET A NEW SPEED CONVERTER CHIP???, Ive looked on ebay and they are around £30-£50, People have suggested i might have a loose wire behind the dash????, Is this the same wire ??(speed converter chip wire???) is this chip a little box with a few wires coming from it?? THANKS FOR ALL YOUR HELP SO FAR MANY THANKS LEON :? :? :? :?

As you mentioned firstly check the connections on the back of the clocks, esp the 4 screws berhind the speedo unit itself, if the screw marked SP-OUT isnt secure then the ecu wont see the signal, but if you say your speedo isnt working its more likely the SP+ (bottom right with clocks on your lap facing down), i've seen numerous speedo chips not work from the packaging and some miraculously start working after the connections have simply been 'disturbed',can be something as simple as poor crimp contact, could also be the speed pick up in the gearbox, if the vehicle is under warranty then take it back as everything mentioned should be under warranty.
