Derwent reservoirs

Here’s an idea for a spectacular day out walking or on a bike – go right now to the Ladybower, Derwent and Howden reservoirs just off the A57 snake pass. Normally when you go in the summer you see the ‘plughole’ for the Ladybower reservoir, when we have our traditional hosepipe ban, something like this....

....and the Derwent reservoir dam like this....

Now, in case you hadn’t noticed, there’s been a spot of rain just lately so you can now see all three reservoirs in full overflow, a spectacular sight, not to mention the deafening roar :D

It's just off the A57 between Glossop & Sheffield. on the Sheffield side. Fantastic place for a day meeting, but limited parking.
