cracked lens

So after having my bongo less than a week, today I noticed some idiot has grazed my rear bumper and slightly cracked the lens on the rear cluster. Parking space is pretty tight on my street, but a bit gutted for it to happen so soon to say the least. The crack in the lens is pretty small, so I don't think it's worth replacing the whole thing over. There is a small chunk has shattered though, so it needs filling/gluing. Halfords sell some repair tape stuff, and another thread talks about creeping crack cure, so what's the best thing to use for this?
Cheers,
Alex

I was in the same boat not long ago. With rear light clusters costing £100+ each new and difficult to get second hand my solution was to use Captain Trolley's Creeping Crack Cure on the lens. Then buy a pair of lens guards off ebay from quint1962 at £42.50 a pair. Hopefully the lenses will now stand up to all but the hardest knocks.

Cheers Tony. Ordered the creeping crack stuff. Thanks for letting me know about the guards - might have to save up for them, but probably a sensible precaution on my street i reckon.
