To paraphrase the late Dinah Washington, what a diff’rence a week makes

This is the weather a few of us had been hoping for last week when we booked last week’s Sykeside camp way back in September. Coincidentally we were planning to be in the same area a week later – and how different it was! :D

Some of the locals were clearly prepared

Time to relax in some ‘non-Bongo’ accommodation for a change 8)

After a gruelling Saturday, what better way to kickstart your Sunday than with a healthy breakfast :?

Prospects for lunch – I’m thinking ‘crispy’

If not crispy duck for lunch, what about a couple of prawns? :?

Time for a bit of crazy golf....

Oi!! – No cheating!!

Time to bid farewell to our temporary home :(

Can be dangerous eh? – Why’s that then?

You might have enjoyed the accommodation but the girls were bricking it on the way over there - Me & Jr were wondering what all the fuss was about - he had to help push a Citroën up the last bit of the hill but all the 4WD vehicles were safe as houses. Well, slipping towards the walls at times with wheels locked up but an uninstinctive lift off the brakes to get the wheels turning again and all was well. We were threatened with death if we didn't return on the M6

Yep, week too early Muz.

Plenty of snow here at home Sat morning and I went up to N. Yorks. Plenty on the motorway, plonker in a BM tried to pass in the outside lane and nearly lost it.
Nothing on the moors though. Looks like I'll have to go and visit my daughter in Scotland to find some snow.

Brian.

Crikey Muz, you don't need to paraphrase Dinah Washington. Every day seems to find you on a different continent (mind you, thats still behind me, as every day finds me on another planet).

Just be careful out there big boy. Bob Fosset took on the impossible time after time without mishap until one day at a grand old age the very possible jumped out and bit him on the arse.

Fantastic pics too. I was about to write and say how impressed I was with how tidy you managed to keep your house (most unlike wild campers) until I realised it was your (m)hotel accommodation #-o    8)
