Thats one of the Alternator belts Baz. No immediate panic but its designed to run with two & will need replacing fairly sharpish. Best do them both at the same time.
About £14 each & a straightforward half hour to fit but - the BF Shop is out of stock at the mo.
Suggest Bongobits or Bell Hill.

My belt snapped the other week, didnt do the van any harm but the woman in the shop didnt half blush when my pants fell down.
Must go on that diet.

You may be missing a mechanic.... but you won't be short of lube

I used to, an Aberdeenshire guy who used to state the obvious, like 'your cutting the grass then', or , 'your washing your car then'.
His best one was when, after a mix up with keys, daughter and I were trying to keep dry in heavy rain under the eaves of the house, Bob went past and said 'your sheltering then'!
Luckily the axe was locked in the garage!
On a serious note, it is probably best to replace both belts at the same time, as a used one will have worn differently, and might end up causing problems.
