Hi everyone,

Looking at changing my lambda sensor as emissions are pretty high.

I was looking at a universal sensor where I can splice the connector onto the new part. IIRC, I was advised to get a 2 wire sensor - £48.00

However, in a search on eBay, I've come across this -

Any ideas if it'll fit/work?

no idea if it will fit,

i should imagine they are all much the same but it's a few quid and probably not worth the risk and messing about if there is a problem,

your best bet is to just go through a motor factors or mazda parts to make sure you are getting the right one, might be a bit more expensive but probably the best bet, IMO

That should fit, it's a standard 2 wire 18mm thread sensor on the V6.

Google how to test an o2 sensor first, easy to do with a digital multimeter.

The cheap ones work but won't generally last as long as the genuine article. Also won't have the correct connector on it so you need to splice and solder existing wires.

Check other things too if emissions are high, air filter, plugs etc to be sure the engine is running fine.

Also have a look around the ECU in case someone has fitted a cheap resistor mod to fool the engine into thinking it's running cold and overfueling. Had one on mine !
