The main water pipe under the drivers seat going to the rad has ballooned up!
One Garage has told me its a known falt and will take a couple of hours to fix!
The other also said a couple of hours, but somthing would of made it balloon up like the head or a thermostat playing up!
Can any help with this and which one if right if ether?

certainly a good idea to change the stat while you are replacing the hose, check the others too,as your adviser rightly says something has caused this (the stat).

Will get them to look at the stat at the same time they fix the pipe then!

Make sure it is bled properly (using the bleed hose) because the head will crack in no time if you dont ,see youtube bleeding bongo

Mine was like that when I first had it, it wss literally as thin as a rubber glove and it was a miracle that I drove it for over 200 miles without incident before getting it replaced (by Paul at LPG).
I now think that I have a lazy thermostat as I can see it's running a little hot (normally in the low 90s) thanks to my TM2. I'll probably replace the thermostat myself and flush and replace the coolant while I'm at it - bleeding carefully using the youtube vids as a guide....
Get the hose replaced ASAP!

spot on mate.
in my opinion most hose leaks/swelling hoses are traceable to the stat prformance.

Not wanting to hi-jack this thread, but is there a fact sheet for thermostat replacement? I couldn't see one.
Ii'll probably have a go at swapping mine myself and don't mind taking pics etc if someone can tell me how to do it in the first place!
