We've booked to stay here a couple of nights before heading onto the Takaroo meet.

FYI when I rang and booked they owner mentioned they are having the paths tarmacked so we might have to get in via an "alternative route" - I think she mentioned a ramp and a good run up to get over the river.....

there are 5 hookups for campers where you can have open fires, they have more hookups but not in the area where you can have a fire...

Just reading the site, but it says min 2 nights, but to be honest ring them, they are really friendly, I'm sure they would allow one night that early in the season.

This place is worth a visit if you like your food.

Castle is really nice and you get a good view of the river & weir. Nice walk down to the river too.

Friday I'm planning a visit to the castle, followed by a swim/shower and visit to the local shop then chippy

Shame it's a minimum of 2 nights - we would have probably joined you on the Friday night.

ring them...it's not like it's summer hols...they maybe ok, Loopyloo is in the same boat ..
