torn mosquito net

Post by cedworthy » Sun Mar 13, 2011 8:39 pm

When the roof is up, our bongo has a thin mesh, like a mosquito net, which is really nice as it lets light and air in, only it has torn! Have tried tape and sewing, neither of which works, it just tears some more. Does anyone have any ideas for a quick (cheap) fix?? Thanks. :(

Paint some clear nail varnish around the edges of the tear it will stop it spreading. I then very loosely sewed the edges together, more to stop it catching or going further than to close the gape. Not the most ideal solution, but it seems to have restricted further damage

hi and welcome.
you say you have used tape. have you used tenacious tape, thats a brand name, available at camping outlets, and the net.
we used it with great success on a small tear.
