Hello, we were going to fit an eberspacher under the passenger seat as some others have done. However we have the below under there also that others don't appear to have. Any clues gratefully appreciated.

its the winterpack conrol valves.you will have a switch near your right knee with an engine symbol on it.
its still possible to fit it here,as some just remove the whole unit.
there are other places to fit your eber, is yours 2wd or 4 wdrive.

its only a 5 minute job to remove the winter pack .leave the valve on the exhaust. just remove the pipe and the vacuum unit .dont forget to plug the small rubber hose.

Noisy little buggers though these diesel heaters aren't they? I wonder if a space could be found at the front under the bonnet so as far away as poss. from sleeping occupants. Still must annoy the neighbours though eh?

Grabs coat and flies off before he gets shot down

Agree there Mike, we had one camped next to us last year and it ain't so bad when its running but the ******* thing switches on and off all night.

Personaly I'd use it to warm the van before bed and then rely on good sleeping bags, maybe setting the timer for the morning.

Very helpful Ady if we had a 2WD lol

Thanks for the link Mike, but we are going to try and put the main unit in the toolbox. It shouldn't pick up so much muck then, keep the unit clean.

They are noisy beggers yes, that is my concern and I am insisting it has a silencer, someone didn't have one did they! But if you camp up in a field or anywhere you can isolate yourself a bit as you are self contained if you know what I mean.

That is my intention Bob like with central heating it should kick in just before we wake up. When we are in holiday mode it is not too early. lol

Keefy :D
