Finally got alternator belts and aircon belt today.[Thanks muz for the loan of your spares].
Thinking of having a go at changing them myself. Is there a fact sheet or lush project i
can crib from? Had a quick look to no avail any advice would be appreciated. I'm not a duffer but not confident and will be doing job on road.

Hi just done all mine inc the timing here for aircon:-
http://www.igmaynard.co.uk/bongo/member ... aircon.pdf
if I recall you will have to remove the aircon belt first remove and replace the alt' belts then put the air con belt on, undo the tension bolt on the aircon adjustor
all the way it can be a bit tight I found it easier to have access from underneath as well as from the pass'y side seat
also check out this topic it may help

hope this helps

Thanks Sparkymik thats a great start, how tight do the belts have to be?
Presume too tight will damage alt. bearings.

There is prob'ly a setting but I did them up so that if you push down there is some give, and then check them after a few thou, maybe adjust if needed

I think you should be able to twist the belt by 90 degrees to check the tension.

				Its turned into a nightmare.
Changed my alternator and aircon belts took ages.
tried to start no ignition no idea what ive done.
Checked fuses main one 100 w looked odd so i pulled it to have a look
and smashed it to bits.
What next .You try your best
