Window switch - that old chestnut

Have seen the suggestion that instead of paying a small fortune on original Bongo part (drivers side window switch) that a Mazda 626 switch be bought instead. Can anyone please be more specific? Which year? Serial number? There seem to be a lot of different models and it would be great to know which one to be sure of getting the plugs on the back, size for the hole in the door, etc right for the Bongo. Any help gratefully received.
Thanks
Charlie

Are you sure it's the switch? It may be the door wiring looms they break the cables at the hinge point?

It`s a Mazda 323 you will need it from M reg to S reg - you will need to check where the plugs fit as there are differences between the early and later models. Hope this helps. :)
