Re: power in france
You may need an adaptor, as both types of socket are used in France - sometimes on the same site
Otherwise, there should be no problems.

Reverse polarity can be an issue and most camping equipment shops can sell you a small polarity tester and a 'rewired' adapter to correct any reversed polarity supply. If you ask the shop's advice, they will sort you out with everything.

One of these
And then 2 of these with one wired opposite.....
Onsite..... plug in adaptor & lead ....check with your tester and if it shows up as reversed polarity then plug the other adaptor in.....sorted....
Quick tip...... put some insulation tape around the cable of the reversed adaptor....

I minor tip from my experience last year that might help you, I bought an adaptor from the reception of the camp site at which we were staying last year for 18 Euro an about half an hour later, nipped in to a shop just outside the site that was knocking the same thing out for 4 Euro!
