alternator part number

can anyone tell me the part number for the 2.5 diesel sgl5 [ 98R] ?
i can't find it anywhere on mine which needs replacing. Is it the same as a ford ranger or b2500 pick up as they seem easier to come by and better priced?

Hi nigelgibson,
You are probably looking for a 90 amp part No A1633 alternator,this alt could be the same as b2500 but not sure on the Ranger spec.What price have you been quoted.

hi Mal thanks for reply - not been quoted specific price just browsed the general asking prices on e bay and ranger ones are common as they are a current make so was thinking of a second hand one off a late model ranger [ 50 to 60 £ if it fits]
