Bongo Fury

our exhaust is slowly succumbing to old age (& salt laden , damp , cornish air). i've already re-welded the middle & rear boxes around the flanges & flexi section but the end is nigh! the listings i have seen show a 4 section fitment. 2 short front pipes , middle , and rear box. our '96 diesel aft only has 1 long front section though. are these interchangeable? bracket wise etc?

agreed , stainless is the way to go , even though the air down here will even kill that eventually! has anyone any experience with a system like this on a bongo (nvh , performance etc?). my previous experiences with this type of system on other vehicles (though not diesel) have been mixed , although a mate of mine has just fitted a (side exit) stainless system on his t4 and is raving about the perfomance & economy increase , though not at the same time i suspect!!

Yep Stainless is the way to go if you plan on keeping your Bongo.

I Invested in a stainless full system for mine approx 5 years ago.... and like you I live right by the sea.

Several reports of available stainless systems being more noisy, so be aware of that in case that doesn't suite your taste.

that would be my main concern having spent "stainless" money to end up with an "unpleasant" exhaust note. while i love the row that my imprezza makes out of the back end , i dont really want to "chav up" the bongo. a little bit fruity i could handle but i know some systems can really produce some nasty resonance.

I'm about to embark on the stainless exhaust route. Shall be going to South Crofty Tyres on the recommendation of Bongoing Mad Simon on here.

aaahh yes. i remember from years ago , them doing a build it while you wait service. powerflow kit i think? i would be interested in having a look/listen if you do go for it.
