Hello Friends, quite a few were interested in the future Flookburgh Steam Gathering weekend which is on the 30th and 31st of July 2011. There is ample free parking at this event and it is a well oiled machine in terms of no local traffic jams. It doesn’t clog up the village.
http://www.steamgathering.org.uk/
Tickets cost £12 for adults, £10 for concessions and children under 16 get in free. Last year Chris I and went with my Sarah who was 22 years old! and they let her in as an under 16. It is a nice relaxed event.
Again on the
Allithwaite Community Centre, Quarry Lane, Allithwaite, Grange-Over-Sands, Cumbria. LA11 7QJ.
Facilities on the field are a kitchen, home and away showers, Ladies and Gents toilets, outside tap (which is drinking water) and we should shortly have a designated CDP
£12 for hook up, £10 non hook up.
Jo

Hi Jo
I'm gutted we can't make this weekend

it's my best friend's wedding (sounds like a film title) on the 30th in Southport and we are staying over, in a hotel not our bongo
See you all at the national bash, if not sooner.
