It's the load index~92~~Bongo needs to be on average 96 minimum & a lot of people are running on 100 load.

Had this problem with ours last year.

Struggled to find 18" in the right load ratings , although I seem to remember if you play around with width and profile for a while you can come up with better than a 92. Even then, I think I was looking at £150ish per tyre for anything I'd be happy with. I wouldn't chance it on 92's: my 18" wheels had them already fitted, and one of the rears had a bulge the size of an egg on the inside sidewall

Ended up swapping for 16" Outlander wheels:

Link is to a German website with 195/65x15 tyres :? :? A loading of 95 is suitable for the front tyres only.

Hello

I have just fitted my 18's this weekend and researched tyres on the forum.

After a wee search I was recommended ACCELERA tyres - 225/50 R18.

I found a set of 4 on http://www.blackcircles.com including fitting for £342 all in. Really good service too.

I've just driven down from Scotland on them - 560kms in mixed weather from heavy rain to strong winds over A/B roads and motorways.

We were heavily laden with a 'camping pack', 2 bikes on a rack and my 15" alloys (no tyres) with 2 adults and 2 tots and a LPG tank.

Verdict - Very very happy - now I just have to wait for winter to see how they do with the snow!

Give them a try as forum members recommended them to me
