Fuel Gauge

Hey guys, please excuse me as i dont know as much as you jedis.
recently got my bongo, but i dont think that it has seen over 2L of petrol
so i have filled it up, but its not showing up on the fuel gauge, any suggestion? iv been told the float just needs a clean, but then again i dont listen to people unless they have experience as you guys

You almost certainly need to put a extra earth onto the fuel sender unit..
You will find this behind the drivers seat under the carpet....There is a cover plate....remove this and put a wire from the Black to one of the screws.....99% chance this will sort this very common problem

also some people are now just earthing the tank it's self, have a search plenty of info on here

Hey guys thanks for the replies

helped me so much, im gona need lots of help from here on haha with the whole of my bongo as it will need a total redo, somethings i know about but others will need your help with,
its on bricks at the mo while i sort out all 4 tyers

it was given to me by a friend who no longer had use for it, still MOTed and not a writeoff, but it needs quite a bit of work done on it
