Has any non folders (Freda owners?) ever had to replace the glass & noticed the interior set up like this...?

Ive taken the glass out of a non electric mirror.

Dave, i was hoping you would see this...

If you could confirm this.. Or even take some pics of the inside with a shot like this...

I'm figuring the internal of the non folder version looks like this, with the plastic spindle for the final drive cog attached..

Yes, i suffered the old floppy mirror break

& after looking around after a fix attempt (4 times!)

I totality refused to pay the "going rate"

for a used one...

The top bust too!

I did get lucky & find a replacement a third the price!!

But i have a theory the gear mechanism, motor & loom can be swapped to a non folder... Future reference!
