HI, I have just purchased a 16inch TV/DVD for the back of the Bongo. What is the best / easiest way to connect up to electrics please?? Can I just plug into the cigarette lighter?? Do I need an invertor??

Also any pics would be greatly appreciated.

Kind regards

Marc

Is it a 12 volt TV or a 240 volt TV ??if 12 volt you can plug into a ciggy socket as long as it does NOT switch off with the ignition. (if it does switch off you can tap into the tailgate operated interior light.
If it's 240 volt I would forget it...(get a 12 volt one)....it would work on a inverter but inverters use power as well as the TV and really are not the best answer.

A lot of small flat screen TV's are able to work off both 12 & 240 volt.
I assume it has a normal household plug and lead with it you can plug into a wall socket....If this can be unplugged from the back of the TV (like a kettle" lead).....look for a small round 12 volt imput socket on the back of the TV and then you will need a small plug to fit that and either a ciggy socket plug on the other end or wires to tap into the bongo wiring.

It may even come with a 12 volt adapter which you plug into the hosehold mains..(like a laptop) if that's the case you have a 12 volt TV and you should be able to sort it....It will all be in the instructions.

Not being funny, but wouldn't it have been better to work out what you actually needed before you ordered it? I can never understand people watching TV whilst away camping anyway, too many other good things to be doing :?
