The little shop next to the campsite sells midge hoods, but at £6.99 a bottle, buy your 'Skin so Soft' before arriving!

Silly question - sorry!
Am I allowed to advertise something here so that if anyone going to the bash wants to buy I can take it along to save postage. Will be on holiday with the van for a week and will end up visiting the bash on the Saturday so could drop off. I don't want to advertise then find I'm not allowed.

Re: Update September meet Scotland
Your best bet is to advertise it in the Classifieds section (if under £50) or the main website "For Sale" page (if over £50) and put "can take to Glenmore meeting to save postage costs"). Best not to advertise it in this section.

Re: Update September meet Scotland
The online booking for C&CC sites only allows a minimum of 2 nights. If you phone the site direct then they will normally accept a 1 night booking if they have space. I don't think the september meet clashes with any school or local holidays and given that it is a large site I imagine that they will have spaces left. We have stayed at one of the other C&CC sites for 1 night by phoning them on the morning of our stay.

I've been advised that if we can, ask for the pitches to be at the 'top end' rather than down by the Loch. Away from the sand flies, or something. Wagon fort, anyone?Bongopoet wrote:Smidge is an absolute must!!!! It works!

I've got bottles of smidge, avon SSS and 50% deet. Citronella candles, 12v plugin mossy diffuser thing, front window nets, a mossy sleeping net, a head net and a 12V fan. Who wants a bet I'm still going to be miserable...?!

I think we'll have about a dozen citronella candles, 12V mozzie-killer, mains mozzie-killer, Jungle-Formula insect repellent, some other really good solution whose name escapes me for the moment, although I think a forest fire might be the best defence

I am going with smidge only and will be smiling! ok I may be wearing a net as well. I couldn't let deet near me. Nasty stuff and doesn't work for me.
No misery faces allowed!

That's what I bought at the shop beside the campsite.
It didn't work for me...................
When asked about Western Civilisation, Ghandi said 'that would be a good idea'...
Re: Update September meet Scotland
Bog myrtle doesn't work for me either. I believe they tie some sprigs of the stuff to horses bridles to keep horseflies away, The only time I tried that they left the horse alone and bit me
