as an auto elctrician here is the most essential piece of kit known to man and i can only recommend that you all have 1 in your tool kits as it would allow most of you to test/fault find most of the recurring problems found on here.

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/SEALEY-PP1-AUTOMO ... 20b67fb382

I am in no way affiliated to the seller and have just chosen this as the cheapest unit on fleabay, there is a mk 2 model with built in led lights and audible tones which is about £10 more. You can splash out 5 times as much for the same unit with snap on written on it if you so wish!

I cannot stress the versatitlity of these units and the speed with which faults can be diagnosed, it can be used by a trained monkey so bongo owners should be able to cope lol

Be warned tho you will stab yourself in the finger at least a thousand times whilst trying to probe wiring!

Thanks for the tip Julian. Just bought one, plus a Slime puncture repair can.

This should be great for the traditional camping fun of its cold, wet and you want to go home BUT no trailer electrics.

Only problem, it may work for a trained munkey, but will it for an untrained terrier?

Found them slightly cheaper here - http://www.toolstop.co.uk/sealey-pp1-au ... 24v-p15133 - £7.95 each, with £6.95 postage no matter how many you order, unless it exceeds £99, in which case delivery is free 8) Possible case for a group buy if somebody's quick before the bash?
There's a little video of it in use too on that link, does look a handy little bit of kit to keep in the tool kit.
