how do i turn of engine of bongo key wont work

Put your hand over the air intake under the bonnet. It may suck you hand off, but will stop quite quickly. Sounds like your cut-off solenoid has failed.

Right at the front, Black plastic and goes across the front. Shove a big cloth or something over it/into it, its a scoop that lets the air in.

Just done a search, other option is to pull the fuel line off. I think its under the drivers side. Not sure what bit to pull of though.

Black eliptical shaped pipe by the battery on the drivers side (not to be confused with the heater inlet which runs across the top of the bonnet slam panel). You'll here a chugging sucking noise, so it's easy to find. Don't try to cover it with a bag or anything that could possibly get sucked in. The filter should stop anything going through, but don't risk it. Good luck.

Having read the other threads, disconnecting fuel pipe is possibly most effective solution, but be careful as the engine gets very hot and it's not a nice place to be poking your hands in when it's dark and the engine is still running.

Just been talking to Tina on the phone. No luck with blocking the air intake. Accessing the filter to unscrew is tricky. What pipe should she try to pull off and from where?

This is urgent - she's on her own in Cornwall.

Get her to find a big strong bloke and put his foot securely over the exhaust pipe and hold on tight. The engine will slow and after about 30seconds it will die. This is the only way we managed to stop ours when it happened to us

Try this as well as blocking the air intake, but we managed with just blocking up the exhaust pipe.. feel for her

Will suggest exhaust option. AA are on way, but could be an hour til they arrive.

When breakdown assistance came out to us we had to show them where the solonoid was and still they couldn't stop it. The only way we managed was blocking the exhaust pipe. We used a square of cardboard with duct tape on it and a flat shoe and you have to press really hard. If you do this and block the air intake it won't be as hard to stop as just doing the exhaust.

I couldn't stop it myself with the exhaust when I tried, luckily I had Chris with me who was able to do it

No luck with the exhaust suggestion unfortunately, too much pressure to keep it covered.
