Is there a common fault with electric windows? after closing the passenger's side window (from the driver's side switch), the window doesn't work at all- not even from the passenger's side switch. anyone with any suggestions? the driver's side still works fine.

Most common 'fault' on the passenger side is that it has inadvertently been switched off on the drivers door.

Most common real wiring fault occurs in the loom between the body and door, and is normally not the bit going through the grommets but the bit at the bottom of the 'U' section, out of sight within a corrugated plastic sheath. You'll need to chop the sheath away to see the individual cables and the problem should then be self-evident.

Cheers for that. It gave me somewhere to start looking. The wiring is fine, but the switch is buggered. I found that there should be a little pin that locates into the slider contact (same as driver's side) inside the switch. it had snapped off.
A new switch is the answer.
Thanks again,
