The roof raises ok but in the owners manual it states roof will automatcally stop when fully raised, with the control button still depressed the motors continue to run even though the roof is fully raised. Help Please
Thanks in anticipation, Bob

Welocome to the forum.
To check that the roof is fully going up first.
After putting the roof up, when you press the roof rocker switch to down, does the roof come down or do you have to press the "lock cancel" button up in the top of the AFT roof first ?
If you don't have to press the "lock cancel" button, then the roof hasn't fully gone up & the micro-switches haven't tripped the motors off.
To make the roof goes fully up, try giving the roof a push for that last little inch of height whilst pushing the up switch. The roof should now not come down until you press "lock cancel" & then down.
There is lots written on the forum about it if you use the search function. It could be a result of dry runners, tight AFT tent, low battery voltage, tierd roof motors....but if a little push fixes it, well there you are..... a lot of AFTs need a bit of assistance with old age!

If you put your rough location in your profile, you might get some one that's localish to lend a hand or have a look.

Nigel.

Thanks Nigel,as my profile says I`m an apprentice to Bongo ownership taking delivery of the vehicle 07/07/2011 I did look on the forum but obviously cannot navigate the system properly yet. Will do checks as suggested and will advise the outcome, however if there is a Bogo afficiendo locally in the Leicester area would appreciate ther support.
Best Regards Bob

It'll go up easier if you undo the zips before lowering. Also, make sure the engine is running when you raise the roof.

Thanks guys for all for the info, have resolved it as suggested by using a length of wood to push it up the last couple of inches, if you excuse the expression, also have lubricated the tracks/rollers/hydraulic arms with ACF50 as used on my previous bikes and now on the Bongo & Bonnerville motorbike, now roof auto stops when fully raised, here`s to happy bongoing days/nights.
As Arnie said `I`ll be back` (if after thoroughly searching Techie arhives cannot resolve a problem)

Bikerbob... Pay extra attention to the "engine running" Suggestion... My AFT rarely goes all the way up without the engine running

Thanks Gil.

Yes I did have the engine running when the ATF failed to fully raise but initially I did not check the roof lock/unlock mechanism as suggested by Nigel, all is now ok after belting the ATF with a lump of wood and lubricating parts that had not seen any lubrication for quite a while, so now I will be self lubricating my chuckle muscles at my local wetherspoons. CHEERS.
