Hi guys, looking to change my bongo rear axle oil. Just wondered how much to buy, as won't be able to drive to shop to get more once drained it out? :(
I'm guessing ep 90?
Thanks in advance [-o<

check to see if its a limited slip diff first. has it got a yellow sticker on the diff by the fill point.
or check with the russian web site that someone will link you to,this gives the build spec of your bongo if you put in your vin number.

standard dif capacity is rear 1.4lts. front 1.2lts.
use long life hypoid gear oil sae 90---gl5 or above.
i went for a commercial product by millers oils called syntran 2,longer service intervals.
but at those capacities it doesnt really cost much to do it regularly.

Rear Axle oil for rear dif. without LSD = SAE 90 GL5
Rear Axle oil for rear dif. with LSD = SAE 90 GL6

Either axle will hold about 1.5 litres.

Nigel.
