We have a slight leak on the engine,on both gaskets, not much but how hard and expensive would it be for a new set to be put on??

Are you sure its the gaskets leaking and not gunk from the EGR system?
I thought I had a leak on the front drivers side of the block but it tuned out to be the EGR with a bit of help from a leak on the power steering.

Certainly wouldn't want to be messing with the head gasket unless I REALLY had to, as said above, make sure you know where the leaks are coming from, check out fuel pump seals, steering rack (check PS reservoir level), air intake joint weeping (oil from egr or from rocker breather via air intake), Rocker cover gasket isn't too difficult or expensive, most I've seen have a slight weep - helps keep the rust at bay

.
Are you experiencing high levels of engine oil consumption? coolant loss that can't be explained? Or any other syptoms?

Haven't seen many bongos that don't leak a bit on the drivers side TBH, if you're not losing massive amounts of fluids anywhere, no obvious leaks & everything's runnig ok, i wouldn't stress too much TBH.

I'd be more worried if there was no oil there as it would mean some one was trying to hide something
