Hi

Been giving my new Bongo a thorough looking over today and found a slightly weeping hose under the bonnet, looks to be for the heater and is attached to a metal pipe leading under the drivers side.

Any advice on where would be the best place to purchase one from tomorrow in or around Bolton or even anywhwere that could poss fit me in on saturday to replace it and bleed the system ?

Any help welcome as I was hoping to go away in it next week !

Cheers

Tony

Depends on which hose really, stick a pick up of it, or a FULL description of where it connects at both ends. I reckon it'd be a good idea to do a pressure test asap, wasn't yours going into Adrian for a service & coolant system check?
If you're going to replace the hose yourself, make sure you know what you're doing with bleeding it, check the factsheets or look on youtube for one of the methods used. If you get it wrong, it could get expensive.

Can you see it on these?

Part no's can be obtained from the index on the left by clciking on the x next to the description, match up the drawing no & the other no should be the part no. Any Mazda dealer or bongobits, Allans, AVA, bellhill, the bongo shop (upper right of this screen), etc should be able to supply, or you may be able to use a standard bit of heater hose.

I would say its part 61-213

Yes its booked in with Adrian but not for a couple of weeks yet, checked the coolant level in the header and rad and its still OK.

There was quite a bit of free hose to play with so have managed to push it onto the metal pipe an inch further and move the clip to the good side on the hose, this has stopped it weeping now without losing any coolant

Best to get it checked out, get them to pressure test the system & make sure there's no airlocks if there's been any leaks. I'd be careful driving it, wasn't your temp gauge messing about too? get them to check that out too, especially if you're planning a trip.

Yes, temp guage is up the swanny too so will ask them to check that as well, still got it booked in with Adrian mid Aug though for the full service.

I'll let you know how it goes
