MOT - seatbelts???

Hi,

Our Bongo has its first MOT in our ownership on Monday.

Currently we only have one bench seat in the rear (ours is the long runner/2 benches type).

Do we need to replace the other bench for the MOT so that they can test all seat belts?

Hoping the answer is no as it will be a bit of a hassle to get the seat out of the depths of the garage but don't want to fail for any avoidable reasons, I'm nervous enough about it going in anyway!

Thanks for any advice you can give.

Caz

Short answer - nope, they can only test what's there & accesible.

Nope again - mine has been like that for the last 3 MOTs I use my middle seat pushed right back against the shelf I have fitted to the rear runners and so have to use the rear belts as the middle belts are too far forward and that hasn't caused any problems either.
I just pull the belts over the back of the seat and buckle them up in place, same with the middle lap belt and have never had a problem.

Mine usually has one belted flip seat at the most in the rear at mot, the last time even that was folded out of the way, no problem flying the mot
