Temp sensor problems....

we are currently enjoying Europe again, and while driving to Trier the temp alarm started beeping at me. When I looked down, it ready 00, as though engine temp was 0c. For the rest of the day it read 0 and when I started it this morning, it read 16. Has anyone else had this problem? I have checked all connections and it is hooked up fine.
Any thoughts

Sounds as though the sensor cable has been damaged....which temp alarm do you have ??

Hayden, its the one with a green digital readout of the temp and voltage, that fits in the blank switch space, the small one. Not sure if you do them any more. Had it about a year as I bought it with the basic low temp sensor.

No...don't do them anymore...the guy who made them dissapeared during the riots in Bankok.
Have a good look at the sensor wire and make sure it's plugged in o.k......if not the best I can offer is to return it for me to look at.

Found the problem. While checking everything, I found a bit of the sensor wire had slipped on to the heat guard of the exhaust and melted it. So a quick repair and all is good again
