Bongo Fury

The roof tent on my bongo seems to be a bit on the saggy side, the short poles either side inside the tent do not erect all the way making the tent fall in a bit. It has no Mosquito net on it's been cut off at some point, my question is does the mozzie net because it's tight on the outside help take out some of the sagging or can the roof tent material stretch out of shape. I think I have the only Bongo in Queensland so cant really look at anybody elses to compare.

I think the short poles you refer to are designed to pull the front of the tent inwards (along with the weighted bar) as it closes down to stop it getting trapped under the closed roof, and yes they do make it lean in a bit.
Not having seen a tent without the mesh on I can't be certain, but I would think it could make it sag a little, as otherwise the internal middle zip would bear all the strain, which certainly isn't the case on ours, otherwise it would be difficult to zip up. The two straps at the front take most of the weight of the lower material, and I reckon the mesh takes most of the rest especially down the sides.

Thanks for the spherical (awesome), ours is nowhere near that tight, I can't take a photo at the moment as it's night time here. The roof does go all the way up, do you know if the fabric could stretch is it possible?

I've never noticed that the fabric is particularly subject to stretching. Just a thought but are both the Top and Bottom frames that hold the material in place secure ? The top certainly can come loose as the fixings break the glue bond - its a common problem, do a search on here, but easily fixed - and the scrivits holding the bottom frame could also be loosened, now that would make the material very loose.

They're usually saggy. When the motor has stopped running the tent should be fully erected. When the motor stops, if you give the roof a gentle push, does it go up any further?
