Bongo Fury

Hi all, I have a Haydn coolant alarm fitted to my "N" reg Bongo. Problem is, sometimes when I get to the Bongo first thing in the morning the alarm is already screaming and stays on until i've driven a mile or so, other times it seems to come on first thing in the morning when i put my foot on the accelerator, again, for the first mile or so. We are planning on going to the Summer Bash in a couple of weeks and obviously don't want to keep everyonge awake at night with this, anyone come across this before? i'm getting close to ripping the blinking thing out! lol

What is the water level at when its cold,as the level will rise when warmer

I am well above the level of the sensor, think it may just need replacing?

Why is it powered up with the ignition off?

It should be powered on an ignition circuit so it does a self test when you turn on, sounds voltage rather than level related - I take it you've checked the level is ok?

Mine used to witter annoyingly for the first mile but I followed the advice in that thread and cleaned the screws. It has been fine since. I just held my finger over the hole (depressurise the tank first obviouly) and wiped the screw on some kitchen roll and refitted it then repeated with the other screw. Easier with two people in retrospect.

As for being always on, you just need to move the feed, there is a fact sheet on fitting it I think.
