INJECTOR PART NUMBERS?

Hello there,
I wondered if anyone with more knowledge than myself (that'll be all of you then!) knows about the difference in part numbers for Wl-T 2.5Td injectors?
My Bongo started knocking real bad and 3 garages told me it was a big end. But I was convinced it was diesel knock due to a faulty injector, so I bought a couple off Ebay and cracked open each pipe until the knocking stopped to pinpoint the rouge one.
Sure enough, the injector in pot 3 was at fault as replacing it has got the van running as smooth as it ever has.
My query is that the injector I put in is slightly different to the one I took out!
The old one is a 0110, and the replacement one is a 0111 (think it's preceded bu 105078 from Googling Bongo injector part numbers).
Basically the faulty one has a much larger diameter end with a concealed spray nozzle whereas the one I fitted has a smaller diameter end with a visible spray nozzle.
My dilemma is:
Are they both ok?
Will the one I have fitted cause any piston / valve damage in the long term?
Is one a development of the other i.e. an improved design?
I will try and upload a picture of them both together (although I am useless with PCs) (Not too bad with WPCs tho LOL! ;o) - and I'd be ever so grateful for any help or advice.
My instincts are that as the van is running better than ever, things should be ok, but I have seen terrible piston damage on petrol engines due to incorrect spark plugs being fitted and don't want pride to come before a fall here!
Thanks in anticipation,
Fiddlestix.
