Have just accessed passenger side engine department and noticed that the purple wire is severed near to the handbrake activating switch. The green wire is ok & the warning light on the dash works ie handbrake on warning light on - handbrake off warning light off. Any ideas as to why & should I recconect the purple wire, if so whats it purpose.
