Bongo Fury

We have had a nightmare breakdown while on holiday ! driving along when a thud from under front passenger seat ! got out checked the road behind for parts, found a plastic bottle and thought it had been thrown up into the front wheel arch, back in Bongo, drive off...... 200 yards down the road dashboard looked like a disco ! lights all over the place ! pulled in, water leaking, call RAC..... 2 hours later ...... both Aux belts have snapped, with aircon belt no where to be seen ! ... RAC bought wrong pick up...... 1 hour later flatbed truck tows us back to campsite.... next day mobile mechcanic turns up........ 6 hours later returns with 2 belts ( stuff the AC belt lets just get going )... follow mobile grease monkey to garage to pay........ half hour later in middle of nowhere at 7p.m another dahboard disco ! this time the temp gauge is in the RED and i am driving down tight country lanes with a dipstick in front doing 20mph... I need to pull in ! ring grease monkey ( lucky hes still at the garage 7.15p.m ) out he comes, both belts are off again !.... belts back on & drive back to campsite ( with a bollocking that the wife & kids think ive called into a pub ) ! Next day time to go home ( at last ) just check those belts........ and guess what.... one has turned its self inside out....... back to grease monkey....... then I have to make a half hour drive to a supplier for more belts ! fingers crossed the new belts are o.k ? P.S dont bother camping at Sandyballs Dorset..... ringing the RAC.... ( they havent a clue about Bongo;s ) and using the local mechanic who will waste a good 2.5 days of your holiday...... and guess what HE OWNS A BONGO !
