Flashing hold light

Hi,

Had a few gremlins today and wondered if anyone had some suggestions.

This morning on the outwards trip the lights stopped working (front/rear and dashboard) even though they were switched on. After about 30 mins they came back on again. Everything else worked fine - radio etc no problems.

This afternoon on return trip noticed a slow-flashing hold light. Shifting was working properly as far as I could tell, speedo was working normally, lights and other electrics fine. Decoding the fault gave the following codes:

16 EGR valve position sensor
64 Pressure control solenoid
9 engine coolant temp

Does this combination make sense to anyone? Does it tally at all with the lights problem? There was no deviation at all on the temperature gauge, and no noticeable loss of coolant between leaving and returning. Gearbox oil at normal level, didn't appear brown or sludgy.

Any thoughts/advice much appreciated.

which bongo have you got #-o .
if its the diesel, 16 and 9 are fed from the same part of the wiring harness/loom. not sure what pressure control solenoid is (64), so maybe its a petrol.

Oops sorry - it's a 1995 2.5 diesel.
