I would like to come but I may be "Bongoless" by then. Would I still be accepted?

Well technically Tent Man Kev (David and my name for him) came without a bongo last year and we let him stay, so I reckon you would be allowed.

We stayed here a few years back in their log cabins great place, good food and loads of whiskey behind the bar  they do a great Veggie neeps and tatties too. We walked passed the campsite and looks lovely place to stay in the woods. We saw loads of deer in the wood opposite 8) I will keep an eye on this as would love to go back :D

Camping wild in Glencoe in the late 80's outside the Clachaig hotel, those were the days. Sleeping in log cabins, they are for wimps.

We will certainly be up for an April Meeting in Glen Coe.

Was at the Kilvrecht (Loch Rannoch) site after Glemmore and again this last weekend. Brilliant place. Great walks. No hookup but not a problem.

Does anyone know anything about Propex heating? Seems to be a lot cheaper than the diesel version. Toying with using the Bongo for winter walking trips but not convinced I wouldn't rather spend the dosh on a room in a nice pub with a roaring fire after a day in the winter hills. (wimpish but warm!)

I have a Propex heater installed in my Bongo with a bigger than usual gas bottle, 4½kg Calor gas, in a taller than normal gas cupboard. It works fine as the same gas bottle is used for heating and cooking. The only downside is that it is installed inside the Bongo under the rock n roll bed taking up valuable storage space. On the other hand the diesel heaters from Eberspacher and others are slung underneath the Bongo and use up no space. Few people can aford new diesel heaters so most go for reconditioned second hand ones from post office vans etc, you just have to get the right model.
